When you walk into the gym at the Warriors Baseball Academy, the last thing you would expect to see is a two-time Youth World Sailing Gold Medalist. However, Charlotte Rose has been a unique member of the Warriors Baseball Academy family for the past six months.
Meet Charlotte Rose
Born in Thailand, Charlotte Rose was raised in Houston, TX where she attended Westside High School, competing in swimming and water polo. Although being a member of the Gulf Coast Youth Sailing Association and U.S. Sailing Association, Rose's passion for sailing emerged when she was nine years old while attending a camp at the Houston Yacht Club, where she is a respected member to this day.

The line is pretty thin and there are a few unwritten rules to follow that will help you stay on the good side of your umpire and potentially changing the outcome of close calls.

Houston Warriors Baseball Academy's Dylan Smith, was selected in the 18th round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres Baseball Club.
Smith is a graduate from Stafford High School. Like a select few Stafford baseball players before him, Smith is the first player to be drafted straight out of high school.
In April, Smith was offered a scholarship with the University of Alabama baseball program.
“It’s a blessing and an honor to be drafted,” Smith said.
Dylan has been apart of the Warriors' Baseball Academy's organization since 2014. While competing in numerous events, Dylan has always shown his character and competitive drive in whatever he is doing.
HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Warriors Baseball Academy will join forces with the Texas Premier Baseball organization in 2018. After accepting an invitation to join in late January, Warriors owner, Andy Baize, said this, “This is a game changer and we were blessed to be invited to such a prestigious league.”
Members of Texas Premier Baseball include some of the original showcase programs built in the state of Texas more than 25 years ago, as well as highly respected baseball programs that have since formed in the state of Texas in recent years.
Texas Premier Baseball was formed with the intent of providing an excellent baseball experience in the form of competition and player advancement opportunities. Their events are set up to maximize the opportunity for all players to be seen and evaluated by college coaches and scouts from across the country. Texas Premier Baseball has placed over 2,500 athletes in collegiate programs across the country and nearly 350 professional athletes.
HOUSTON, TX – New Balance is now the official brand of Houston Warriors Baseball. In January 2018, the Warriors teamed up with New Balance to outfit our players on and off the field. Anytime you see a Warrior athlete on the field, they will be wearing New Balance gear.
A few notable professional athletes that are currently wearing New Balance cleats include Dustin Pedroia, Miguel Cabrera and Francisco Lindor as well as professional fastpitch athlete Ally Carda and Britain’s top women’s tennis player, Heather Watson.

The relay play is one of the most critical plays a baseball team has to make. A perfectly carried out relay can lead to an out and minimal damage, while one not executed can lead to runs being scored and a big inning for your opponent.
Infielders must recognize situations for baseball relays and cutoffs, be quick to get into position, and know how to make the relay throw.
